An Enjoyable Weekend
I'm bored. Can someone entertain me pleaseee?
So yah, I browsed through photos in my iphone to see if there's anything I can talk about. Last thursday, last day of YOG + Badminton night! Haha~

And again, what have I done last weekend?
I don't care if you've already heard it from me, I must say it again! I was so lucky! If you have made dental appointment from a polyclinic before, you should know the queue is damnnn lonG! Like have to wait for at least half a year or more... nono, the next appointment you can get at Queenstown polyclinic is April next year. Super long right?
Okay, my story. My lower right gum started to hurt some time last week, so last friday I went to the SingHealth website to search for the number to call. I saw this e-appointment thingy, to book appointment online with your SingPass. Being lazy, I thought that was a more convenient way for me. And THE NEXT DAY at 8.30am (saturday morning), I was waken up by a phone call. I didn't know why I picked it up, because I usually don't pick up calls from unknown number, needless to mention that I was sleeping at that point of time.
Caller: I'm calling from Queenstown Polyclinic. I've received your mail. Are you able to make it here at 9am?
YY: (She must be crazy, how can I make it at 9? I'm still in my bed.) I don't think I can, but I'll be there asap.
And I reached there at 9.20am. I was the only one waiting because dental visits are by appointments only. Finally saw the dentist at 10am. So fast! I thought it would take longer, like the usual waiting duration at a polyclinic.

Dentist: Have you put on braces before?
YY: No.
Dentist: Wow. You're so lucky. Your teeth is so straight.
YY: (Weeee! *Happy*) Yah.
Dentist: The problem is your wisdom tooth. Need to be extracted. We don't do the surgery here, I'll refer you to the National Dental Centre. You know where it is?
...
Of course I know! So near my house... Haha. So lucky right? I got the referral letter (which was what I wanted) just one day after I've made the appointment. And I heard the receptionist kept repeating that the earliest appointment is April 2011 in the phone calls. LOL~
So, now you know... try the e-appointment instead! :)
Yep, walked there after that. I think I haven't been to this swimming pool for at least 10 years... I remember the "ECA" times after school every thursday, 1.30pm...
...always looking forward to jump from the platform! Those were the primary school days. Oh, how I miss it! The canteen inside the swimming complex looks exactly the same as I've first seen it 15 years ago! Even the signboard is so old school, hasn't changed at all. loL~
I broke my own record that afternoon. 60 laps. Haha. It's probably why my skin is still peeling. I wonder why are there so many ang mohs at that swimming pool.
Had lunch with Stanley at Old Airport Road market, and a small drinking session at BQ that night. Then Yun came to fetch me to Ling's da jie's place for mahjong... Super long never play le! Played with her friends, all the gao shous, so fast lor. I must be lucky to have won 30 bucks. =)
the latest photos in my phone. i just wanna talk about this because the uncle of this japanese stall was so humourous.
i deliberately asked mark to meet me for lunch at after lunch time yesterday because i wanted to skip the long queue at this stall. i forgot that they're supposed to be closed on tuesdays (as seen from the left side of the picture). i was craving for their chawanmushi. i must be so lucky that they were opened yesterday afternoon.
so we were standing in front of the stall, thinking of what to eat when i suddenly realised that they shouldn't be opened. so i said, "eh, i thought closed on tuesdays?" ... i was facing mark when i said that. the funny uncle responded, "oh we are closed already". i was like HUH! "really?""bluff you one lah..." aiyoh! uncle so cute!
i had the usual teriyaki chicken set that i would always order from the stall. *yums* people, should really try it. it's very nice, especially their chawanmushi! free advertisement! haa.
Boss, don't move lah... Army market de food so nice, why want to move?! :(

恋爱通告

What did I do on a Monday evening?
Spot the differences.
Supposedly, it's pork ribs mee swa on the left and oyster mee swa on the right. From some random stall at the basement of The Cathay. I still prefer the oyster mee swa from Shih Lin. No no... I prefer 阿宗面线 from Taiwan. Haha~
Time for movieee again~!
I wanted to watch it because I saw Lee Hom on quite a few Taiwanese variety shows recently. I think I could see his efforts...
...because he has become so skinny! I would say, good attempt for his debut directing. Maybe, 3.4/5. There's still room for improvement. 加油!
If there's only one good thing that I can say about The Cathay's cinema, it has to be this! No other cinemas are selling it except them...
...Chick Peas! I love all kinds of beans and peas... green beans, red beans, yellow beans, green peas, etc. LoL~ I even da bao a cup home after the movie! So crazy!

Dinner @ Timbre:
We shared a pizza. It was the first time I see a sunny side up on top of the pizza. Obviously I didn't have that. People who know me would know that I'm not a fan of yolks.
We shared the dessert too. Banana Crumble. Very sweeet!
Too sweeet for my tooth, but I finished it anyway.
What did I do on Saturday?

aiyoh~ my classmate, steven, is so funny.
he never fails to amuse me, with those small talks, and small actions, like sms-ing me in class even when i'm sitting beside him.
but the funniest thing is, he thinks that i'm funny.
because i'm so blur... *sigh*

havent blogged for ages! it's not very nice to leave my last post as that... so demoralising. just like last week, it was certainly not a good week for me. maybe it's just me. i should learn to manage my emotions better. i should learn to look at things in a more optimistic point of view. then i'll be happier, i guess. must have faith! :D
okay, happier things now. i finally went swimming on friday after missing it for a month! i'm still red from it, with some skins peeling & shoulders still feeling a little pain... more ouches from paintball on saturday. bruises all over. it was a company event. i had fun, but i dont think i want to play it again, unless... i dont know? haa. pain pain neh~ i just hope there wont be scars... i know a lot of photos were taken on that day, but i dont know who is holding on to the camera. will post photos of it if i manage to get the photos. we're all in masks anyway... can't recognise who is who. lol.
had a gathering with the choir girls yesterday, like finally! the last time we met was new year's eve. 8 months ago, aiyoh~ we had dinner at barracks at dempsey house. yep. and i hope our trip will be successful! after saying it for like...2 years? haha!

In-Cep-Tion?
sometimes talking to bahteng makes me feel like vomitting blood for some reason. still... i must apologise for aeroplaning. i'm so so so sorry... even wenjun's first msg to me today was "aeroplane". haiz, makes me feel so guilty. i hope you guys did have an enjoyable kukup trip.
oh, did i mention that i got a headache after watching inception? exactly 48 hours ago, i stepped out of the cinema, with questions filling my head. now, i'm still searching for answers to them... i should stop being so obsessed about it.
most of my colleagues had already caught this movie over the weekend. and also the people in my fb i guess... as seen from their facebook status. haha~ i told my colleagues to watch aftershock if they wanna cry! so evil me.
okay, work is ending soon.

Movies Week
so much to talk about!
Wednesday:
uob staff called me the previous night, asking me to go to the branch where i applied for my pib but because my account couldn't be logged in, they needed my signature to cancel the account. so lousssy... that branch is a 10 mins walk from my workplace. alvin called me at nearly lunch time to ask if i wanted to have lunch together. he had his fav food from the army market of course (the one that i posted previously)... i guess i was lucky. he drove me to uob so i didn't have to walk under the hot sun.
then, while walking to the mrt station after work, this guy approached me asking if i was a student...blah blah...introduced himself, and asking me why i was walking so quickly. that's my usual speed when i'm alone. i felt kinda rude when i just walked off from him after shaking his hand... but he was a stranger anyway. lol.
so, i reached dover mrt bus-stop at 6.38pm. from an estimation of about 40++ people at the bus-stop, the number of people waiting increased to more than a hundred when 74 finally came at 7.05pm. 超夸张~ sbs just increased their fares but they made us waited for so long for a bus that so many would take during peak hours! though it was a double-decker, there was not enough room to contain everyone. i really felt sorry for those who didn't manage to get onto the bus. poor thing... sure very late for their classes de. it's sbs's fault! can you pleassse provide better services?
Thursday:
badminton was slightly different that night. auga went for reservist so instead of playing doubles, i played singles with alvin at delta sports hall. it was my first time playing badminton there. 1 hour of singles is even more tiring than 2 hours of doubles! omG~ and this is gonna happen again on this coming thursday! lol. we had desserts at 阿秋 after that before going home. i was a little surprised when he said "thank you" to me before i got down the car because i thought i was the one who was supposed to say thank you for the desserts and drinks. haha.
Friday:
caught this movie with joel.
aftershock. talking about the earthquake that happened in 1976 and 2008 in 唐山. very sad... i cried throughout the whole show... and made my eyes so puffy the next day. it is the right show for you if you want to cry... haa~
had dinner and a small talk before going back. thanks for sending me home, i hope you didn't lose your way while trying to get home from my place. lol.
Saturday:
movie again! watched it with alvin.
inception. very chim. i didn't understand some parts of the show... it was quite good though. very exciting, but it would be better if someone can answer my questions:
1) Why did Saito become an old man when Cobb found him at the 4th level of their limbo state?
2) So did Cobb go back to reality in the end? Or was he still dreaming?
anyway, leonardo dicaprio is such a good actor! i really like all his works that i've watched before, especially "catch me if you can". i think he has been one of the reasons that makes me want to watch a particular movie that he's in.
